What is the Best service for PDA or a Blackberry?
I will be purchasing a Blackberry or PDA for business purposes. I need to know which service provider (Horizon, Sprint, Cingular, etc) would be the most reliable. This would be used for on-call hospital emergency calls. So it would have to have a great signal and range. People's life would be on the line. The area would be in NYC. Please discuss in detail! - I have Cingular now AT&T with a 8525 Phone. I have had no issues. The 8525 supports the 3G network and I must say the downloads are fast, DSL speeds. Data plans are kinda pricey, I have the 1350min unlimited data and a few extras and pay about $140-$160 a month. I would recommend AT&T and get a phone that is 3G compatible. The 8525 has been the best phone so far, does all my office applications. I heard the Tilt is just being released with is the upgrade to mine. I would take a look at that one.
- I speak about coverage for NYC. However, in general I was looking at switching my cell phone service from Sprint to Verizon, because of reliability. I ended up going with AT&T simply because they gave a discount for have phone and cell phone service bundled together. At work, I use a BB 8830 with Verizon service. The EVDO high speed data connection is super fast compared to data connections offered by AT&T and T-Mobile. That may or may not be important to you if the primary purpose will be for voice calls.
